We have contributed a section on the state-of-the-art and perspectives of applying self-assembled quantum dots in hybrid acousto-optical technologies to the new roadmap on guided acoustic waves. The roadmap reviews the current status and future challenges of this dynamically developing field, in which we have been also active for some time.
